Facebook vs Twitter vs Reddit vs Linkedin

Facebook: What people would call the fore-father of modern social medias. Sure there had been others who came before it but Facebook has stood the test of time: It has grown and will continue to be one of the biggest social media platform and company for a foreseeable future. Facebook's bread and butter is its ability to share: Videos, Events, Images, Interests and etc... Facebook allows one to share these information with the push of a button and they appear on their friends' newsfeeds.

Twitter: Twitter specializes in news and statements. It's a platform of the "voiceless voices": By limiting tweets' characters, each tweet feels like an important statement.

Reddit: Reddit is a platform whose bread and butter is discussion. By facilitating discussions, Reddit allows its participants to share information and learn.

Linkedin: LinkedIn's main attraction is that it is a social media platform for professionals. It creates a a different environment to facilitate professional networking and development.

Looking forward to the future, predicting what will happen, is a feat few can get right down to a tee. No one can really tell what kind of innovation will pop up and influence the flow of progression. This applies to social media as well: Most could not have predicted the rise and dominance of Facebook, the inception of Snapchat, the popularity of Instagram. To have us imagine what will be next on the horizon is a nigh impossible task. Looking at what is currently trending, we can point to VR as the next big thing. My idea for a social media that utilize VR is an immersive hub. I'd like to imagine being able to materialize my feed in real life or experiencing Snapchat stories, Instagram photos and videos in real life. If I can virtualize the stories, videos and pictures in a virtual world and experience them, I think that will be the ultimate form of social media immersion. Wiki So Far

This is my first time experiencing dealing with editing and managing a wiki. With no experiences regarding HTML, website editing, I can say that I'm starting to get a hang of it. For my contributions so far, I've only contributed about one topic: Fashion. That's a subject that I'm very passionate about. Despite only contributing about one topic, I've expanded upon it by a large amount by talking about the Antwerp 6, a group of highly acclaimed fashion designers originating from Antwerp.
