Wiki So Far

This is my first time experiencing dealing with editing and managing a wiki. With no experiences regarding HTML, website editing, I can say that I'm starting to get a hang of it. For my contributions so far, I've only contributed about one topic: Fashion. That's a subject that I'm very passionate about. Despite only contributing about one topic, I've expanded upon it by a large amount by talking about the Antwerp 6, a group of highly acclaimed fashion designers originating from Antwerp. I hope that my contributions will give the viewers more insights about these designers.

Looking forward to the future, predicting what will happen, is a feat few can get right down to a tee. No one can really tell what kind of innovation will pop up and influence the flow of progression. This applies to social media as well: Most could not have predicted the rise and dominance of Facebook, the inception of Snapchat, the popularity of Instagram. To have us imagine what will be next on the horizon is a nigh impossible task. Looking at what is currently trending, we can point to VR as the next big thing. My idea for a social media that utilize VR is an immersive hub. I'd like to imagine being able to materialize my feed in real life or experiencing Snapchat stories, Instagram photos and videos in real life. If I can virtualize the stories, videos and pictures in a virtual world and experience them, I think that will be the ultimate form of social media immersion. Blog About Twitter

Twitter as a platform is very unique, especially when compared to in-class discussions and BlackBoard discussions. Each platform has their limitations that in turn defines it and forms it identity. In-Class Discussions allow for the most freedom of expression in terms of ideas flowing in and out. Communication speed is almost instant since all participants are there. A downside is that these discussions happen instantly that some participants will not have time to think. Blackboard discussions allow its user to take their time to think out their responses. A downside is that this wait time can last for minutes, hours or event days. Twitter's main strength is its limitation of character count per tweet. This makes every tweet a statement of importance. Users are forced to think about their tweets to make them concise and brief.
