Looking forward to the future, predicting what will happen, is a feat few can get right down to a tee. No one can really tell what kind of innovation will pop up and influence the flow of progression. This applies to social media as well: Most could not have predicted the rise and dominance of Facebook, the inception of Snapchat, the popularity of Instagram. To have us imagine what will be next on the horizon is a nigh impossible task. Looking at what is currently trending, we can point to VR as the next big thing. My idea for a social media that utilize VR is an immersive hub. I'd like to imagine being able to materialize my feed in real life or experiencing Snapchat stories, Instagram photos and videos in real life. If I can virtualize the stories, videos and pictures in a virtual world and experience them, I think that will be the ultimate form of social media immersion. "The BitTorrent Effect" by Clive Thompson, published on the Wired, is an interesting piece which had enlightened me on what file sharing is. Distribution is an important factor in the transferring of information: How will the information be delivered? The transfer or distribution of files through the internet is called File Sharing. Traditional downloads of files are clunky due to some files' large sizes, making them harder to download. There are many limitations set by the world in terms of internet uses that affect downloads: Bandwidth, network speed and et cetera. With these limitations, traditional file sharing can be very cumbersome. Entering P2P sharing, the method employed by many people around the world right now. This is my first time experiencing dealing with editing and managing a wiki. With no experiences regarding HTML, website editing, I can say that I'm starting to get a hang of it. For my contributions so far, I've only contributed about one topic: Fashion. That's a subject that I'm very passionate about. Despite only contributing about one topic, I've expanded upon it by a large amount by talking about the Antwerp 6, a group of highly acclaimed fashion designers originating from Antwerp. I hope that my contributions will give the viewers more insights about these designers.

Equivalent exchange is a concept that is very prevalent in our world: To gain something, you must give up something. Information is an ever important factor in our times: It's ubiquitous and employed by us on the daily. But to gain information we have to give up information. With the advent of technology, there has been a regression in privacy: We allow more computerized inventions using information to operate more occupation in our daily lives, taking away the privacy of our lives. New Media is a prime eater of privacy: We put ourselves out there on the internet, through social media, through blogs and forums, through YouTube. We are sharing our personas, details of our lives to millions of people who we may not even know off. Privacy has regressed, or has it transformed? There needs to be a new definition and boundaries for what Privacy is in this new age of interconnectivity.

Nowaday, media is evolving. It's all about presentation and how to appease eye. Impression is ever lasting and that principle should be applied to Baruch College's media. I think social media is an ever important factor to the current landscape of media. Baruch College's social media is very clunky in my opinion. It should focuses on hiring new talent to revitalize Baruch's social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to increase interaction with students. Baruch's website is also in dire need of a redesign. I think Baruch should hire young talents who are more in tune with the current day's needs and wants to redesign their websites.
